Register Now for In-Person Summer Camp 2021!

1-week camps, Grades 1-3, 4-6

9am-3pm daily, M-F

Three separate themes, Two Michigan locations

$399 weekly, $349 for subsequent registrations from the same household

Our 1-week-long in-person camps begin July 12th and run through August 27th in both our Birmingham and Rochester Hills, Michigan locations. Camps run daily from 9 AM - 3 PM for students entering grades 1-3 and grades 4-6 in the fall.

Summer 2021 will offer the same project-based programs kids have loved for years, but in a much smaller setting due to Covid-19 safety precautions. At this time, we are only opening eight spots per class (vs 24 previously) so space is very limited. Staff and campers will be required to wear masks and daily facility and material cleaning will happen at each location. We are following CDC guidelines closely and taking names on our waitlist should it become safe to take additional campers.

WHAT CAMPERS BRING DAILY

The Robot Garage provides all materials (laptops, robotics, electronics, etc). Because campers typically work with thousands of dollars in materials, projects do not go home from camp.

Campers bring the following:

  • Two snacks

  • Lunch

  • Water Bottle

  • Facemask

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • We have three different camp themes for Summer 2021. Campers can register for one theme or all three. No experience is required.

  • We strive to develop camper confidence and nurture a genuine interest in technology in the world around us. We develop our own curriculum and projects in-house and the program designers oversee staff training and camps.

  • Because everything we do is centered around hands-on learning, we maintain very tight staff-to-camper ratios of 1 to 8.

  • While we normally offer before and aftercare from 8 AM to 6 PM, we are not able to commit to either at this time due to Covid-19 precautions.

  • Summer Camps may be returned up to 10 days before the first session for a 10% administration fee. Between 9 and 1 day before the session, a 50% refund is available. No refund is available after that. Should we be required to cancel camps due to Covid-19, families will receive a full refund. Campers asked to leave for disciplinary reasons, will receive no refund.

COVID-19 Safety Information for Camps

This will be a fun, creative, mellow summer at The Robot Garage. We are currently limiting each week to 18 students per facility vs 60 in past years. We are working hard on developing a fun virtual way to share the camp day with parents in lieu of our Friday presentations.

  • We are following CDC guidelines closely and will continue to do so throughout the summer. The list of safety measures may change for that reason, but after being closed for more than a year, we hope you know how seriously we take safety!

  • Camps are currently limited to 8 students per room.

  • Masks must be properly worn at all times inside the building except for lunch/snack time.

  • Hand washing will be required upon entering the building, and before and after lunch and snack time.

  • We will be closed to the public during the camp day to minimize traffic.

  • Facility and materials will be cleaned daily.

  • Parents will be asked to drop off and pick up campers outside.

  • Before and After Care are not currently planned as we are following CDC guidelines keeping cohorts together. We apologize for this inconvenience.
