For Educators

The Robot Garage partners with schools to provide enriching programs to students, and educators. If your students love LEGO and video games, we have found countless ways to tap into those passions, and to make learning both fun and rewarding. Because we focus on engineering, robotics, and coding, vs all STEM disciplines, we are experts in these areas. We have a robust hands-on curriculum designed in-house to align with NGSS, a team of educators who love working with kids, and ten years of experience which has taught us what kids need to engage, enjoy, and learn.

Field Trips and After School Programs

Bring your students to our bright, lofty location, or host The Robot Garage at your school.  We provide all the materials (laptops, LEGO, robots), and run hands-on projects for students in grades PK-8.  High school programs are available upon request, and often customized to meet teacher needs.

Classroom Curriculum

If you wish there was a place like The Robot Garage near your school, these programs leverage everything we do in person and make it accessible to educators worldwide.  Whether you’re interested in game design and coding, or engineering and robotics, these programs include NGSS aligned curriculum, pre-recorded video lessons to walk students through projects, material kits, and professional development workshops.

FIRST Robotics!

Our VP of education happens to have won 2 FRC (High School robotics) world championships as the team mentor, and continues to work closely with the FIRST organization.  The Robot Garage was originally inspired by the founding family’s daughters’ experience with the program and is an organization we remain deeply committed to.  FIRST in Michigan has expanded the number of teams to become the #1 state in the US, and has hired The Robot Garage to provide boot camps to the majority of rookie teams during this ramp-up.  We also offer studio nights during build season to FLL and FTC teams, professional development to mentors, and many of our classes align with FIRST by age level, from FIRST LEGO League Discover through FIRST Tech Challenge.
