Battle Bots Camp
3, 2, 1, BATTLE! Students will engage in a full week of hands-on, structured activities to build, code, and battle robots using LEGO Technic and WeDo. Each day will include 4 workshops that introduce technical skills and encourage collaboration, plus some friendly competition! In just one week your camper will have taken a new step towards becoming an engineer. No previous robotics experience required, all project materials are provided by The Robot Garage.
June 26 - June 30
July 31 - August 4
Minecraft Camp
Bring Minecraft to life! Campers explore robotics, architectural design, mechanical building, and programming while creating worlds within the game of Minecraft. What is unique about this camp is the emphasis on bridging the virtual world of programming with the physical world of actually building what you design! When playing in-game, students will be exploring Minecraft on a secure, private TRG server supervised by our staff.
July 10 - July 14
August 7 - August 11

LEGO Masters: Pokémon Camp
Create an original Pokemon LEGO city in just 5 days! This camp is our version of LEGO Masters and our staff will assist campers in making their ideas come to life with expert LEGO-building techniques. Campers dive into our enormous LEGO collection to create a one-of-a-kind Pokemon city display, and then bring it to life with coding and robots. If your child has huge ideas in their head, this camp is the perfect place to make them come to life!
July 17 - July 21
August 14 - August 18 (Waitlist)

A TYPICAL DAY AT CAMP
Campers work in age-appropriate groups throughout the week. Daily workshops are designed to balance computer coding and mechanical projects. Projects focus on hands-on learning, fun, and creating "aha" moments that also align with the NGSS (National Science Standards).

Video Game Design Camp
Create your own video game collection! Have you ever wondered how your video games work or why your video game characters can run, walk, or even fly? Well, here's your chance to find out! Using MIT’s Scratch programming language for grades 1-3 and Gamemaker for grades 4-6, campers will create a collection of video games they can continue playing at home. Back in the physical realm, we will also be creating video game inspired LEGO robotic projects. So hit start and join our staff for a week filled with video game programming, robots, friends, and fun!
Roughly half of each day is spent on screens and the other half is spent building theme-related structures, robots, and engineering projects.

The Robot Garage provides all materials (laptops, robotics, electronics, etc). Because campers typically work with thousands of dollars in materials, projects do not go home from camp.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
-
We have four different camp themes for the summer. Campers can register for one theme or all four. No experience is required.
-
We strive to develop camper confidence and nurture a genuine interest in technology in the world around us. We develop our own curriculum and projects in-house and the program designers oversee staff training and camps.
-
Because everything we do is centered around hands-on learning, we maintain very tight staff-to-camper ratios of 1 to 8.
-
Summer Camps may be returned up to 10 days before the first session for a 10% administration fee. Between 9 and 1 day before the session, a 50% refund is available. No refund is available after that. Campers asked to leave for disciplinary reasons will receive no refund.
