Paper Plane Launcher

Countdown to lift off with these paper airplane launchers! Using LEGO Technic® students will build a mechanical paper plane launcher which utilizes a hand operated latch-and-release system.

Stored energy from stretched rubber bands on the launcher will propel the planes off the LEGO track once released. Students can experiment by adding rubber bands or changing how much their bands stretch to observe changes in how their planes fly. Students can also experiment with changing their planes’ design, though we’ll be sure to show them the tried-and-true Nakamura Lock paper plane as well.
